Foreword
The commercial use of the flower image is so common and pervasive that we have lost sight of the potent symbolism of that image. The intention of this exhibition is to restate and reaffirm the power of that symbol through the work of seven artists using a range of media who look beyond and extend the popular cliches associated with the familiar image of the flower.
